The life of Albert Einstein - part 2
He is best known for his theory of relativity and specifically mass-energy equivalence, E = mc2. Einstein received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect."[1] Einstein's many contributions to physics include his special theory of relativity, which reconciled mechanics with electromagnetism, and his general theory of relativity, which extended the principle of relativity to non-uniform ...

Albert Einstein
Original footage ... thanks to the efforts of the whole community *) it was finally possible to "decipher" what Einstein is saying:
"Now I will add a few words unprepared. [laughter] A country becomes really a soul only in consciously serving the intellectual life, and in the case of our Jewish people it was really this endeavour, which conserved the Jewish people as a whole. We would not be in existence today, as a community of people, without this continued, or discontinued ... ehh ... activity into learning and in thought and in literature."
The occasion of this speech is still unknown, though.

Einstein's Equation of Life and Death - Part 1
In the summer of 1939 Albert Einstein was on holiday in a small resort town on the tip of Long Island. His peaceful summer, however, was about to be shattered by a visit from an old friend and colleague from his years in Berlin. The visitor was the physicist Leo Szilard. He had come to tell Einstein that he feared the Nazis could soon be in possession of a terrible new weapon and that something had to be done. Szilard believed that recent scientific breakthroughs meant it was now possible to ...
Theory of Relativity, Albert Einstein
www.encognitive.com Theory of Relativity - The Basics The Theory of Relativity, proposed by the Jewish physicist Albert Einstein (1879-1955) in the early part of the 20th century, is one of the most significant scientific advances of our time. Although the concept of relativity was not introduced by Einstein, his major contribution was the recognition that the speed of light in a vacuum is constant and an absolute physical boundary for motion. This does not have a major impact on a person's ...

“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left." Albert Einstein
“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.”
Albert Einstein
I saw some Bees doing their pollination thing on my balcony yesterday and that famous quote came to my mind that is attributed to Albert Einstein....by now it's pretty clear that he never said that, but it sounds dramatic and cool, considering that the bee population in most parts of the world seems to be dying!

Einstein's Secret Letters (Opening)
WATCH THIS VIDEO!
I edited this video for the off-broadway play: Einstein's Secret Letters. It was to be played before the performance to give you some insight into the life of Albert Einstein. The play took place in the days just before his death. I chose Mozart's Symphony #40 in G minor because it's one of my favorites and it's both whimsical and powerful... kinda like Einstein was. :)
Day 14: The miracle of life
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
- Albert Einstein
Going for something rather "simple" today.
Enjoy.

i love albert brooks
seeing this poster at the logan made me think of
albert brooks and his genius film "real life," in which a camera crew sets out to document an average family's everyday existence - similar to what happened at the beginning of the 1970's to the louds in
"an american family" - the first (and still the best) reality show of all time. [note: speaking of genius, brooks's real name is albert einstein.]
in "real life," the crew filming the family wears these incredibly ridiculous camera helmets (supposedly to...
