Callison-Lough Funeral Home
The Historic Callison-Lough Funeral Home in downtown Rogers, Arkansas.
This is my place of work and residence (I live in the living quarters above the funeral home).
Here's our story:
Callison-Lough Funeral Homes have a rich history of serving the families of Benton County. Our beginnings date back to 1909 and the Charles Aufderheide paint, wallpaper, and funeral goods store in downtown Rogers. In 1912, Mr. A.D. Callison and Mr. Will J. White purchased the company from Aufderheide and, two years later, Callison purchased White’s interest in the business and the firm became known as Callison’s Undertaking Company.

Flag Waving along funeral motorcade
Bradley County residents lined Ocoee street in Cleveland, TN to show their support of Sgt. David Weir, who was recently killed in Iraq. These flag wavers lined the street an hour early to see the funeral motorcade of the slain soldier. One of the reasons for the turnout here was to counter a small anti-war protest group which came from Kansas.
I just happened to be passing through when I saw this, as I was touring US Highway 11 in East Tennessee. Mush of this stretch of US11 is the old Lee Hwy, which connected Chattanooga and Knoxville.

Robert F. Kennedy, brother of President John F. Kennedy, former attorney general, senator and presidential candidate, was shot on June 5, 1968, and died the next morning. The funeral Mass for Senator Kennedy took place at St. Patrick's Cathedral, New York City, Saturday, June 8, 1968.
