▒ Finland Station
▒ Финляндский вокзал
▒ Suomen rautatieasema
The original station was built by Finnish State Railways and traded to Russia in 1918 for other properties.
The station is best known in history for the arrival of Vladimir Lenin by train on 3 April 1917 to start the October Revolution. Lenin traveled from Finland disguised as a railway worker on engine #293. The steam locomotive was decades later donated by Finland to the Soviet Union, and is now installed as a permanent exhibit at the station. The event is also commemorated by the Soviet statue of Lenin dominating the square in front of the station.
In the 1950s, the old building was demolished and replaced, with a new structure which was inaugurated in 1960. The turreted building is decorated with sculptures glorifying the October Revolution and incorporates a portico preserved from the original 1870 edifice.

Vladimir Lenin, "A Lie Told Often Enough Becomes The Truth"
Barack Obama by his own words was raised and then received religious instruction in a racist and Marxist environment. Remember Obama was attracted to and joined Trinity United Church of Christ after reading their church bulletin that said, "A Disavowal of the Pursuit of Middleclassness." He has been taught his whole life, especially the last 20 years that America is racist and needs to be fundamentally changed. That's why he wouldn't wear the US flag pin on his chest, that's why he wouldn't ...
