On this official start to summer 2009, I thought I'd post how to build your 1970s vacation home.

I think I enjoy the planning part of a Walt Disney World vacation almost as much as the vacation itself. I plan, plot, research, reserve & book way in advance while leaving plenty of room for spontinaity (spelling?). October is currently a long ways away, but having a WDW vacation on the calendar sure is something grand to look forward to.

Day 7 of 365 Instead of going out and blowing hard earned $$$ on drinks and boozing a night away, I decided why not be productive tonight and plan my vacation. As of current, I have a round trip ticket from SFO - Sydney departure in less than four weeks! I have absolutely nothing planned during my 2 week escape, so I think NOW is the time to do it. I know I'll be seeing some friends, hanging out, seeing some kangaroos, but other than that...I got diddly squat in terms of planning. SO...I got to get to it! If anyone knows anything about Australia, or could suggest anything...let me know!!! I appreciate it. Props to Arthur Frommer.

It's not really news anymore but it still annoys me that the Kelly Clarkson concerts are cancelled. Thankfully we're still going on vaca though! I'm looking forward to it...as I think my last vacation was our trip to Kentucky in October 2006. I need a break and what better than a birthday vacation?! Well, it's not during my actual birthday (July 19th) but it's considered our "birthday vacation" (Crystal's birthday is also July 19th so Heath is taking us on vacation as a gift for our birthday) [Note: Crystal is our friend Tom's daughter who is also a friend of ours]. :o) We won't be leaving until the end of July.

Even though I may not even make it to Stonehenge when I go to the United Kingdom next month, I will at least have something to do with it. I figure I may wait until I'm there with some big tour group to see it. Going by myself on tours is the only thing that I find awkward when I go overseas. This is the book that I bought at Borders last Monday to take along with me. It's not the book that I'm reading right now (I'm actually reading "A Long Way Down" by Nick Hornby so it's sort of the same kind of theme) but I think it will probably take the entire time I'm there to read it. It will probably take more than the entire time,...

Jerry & I had been talking about a vacation in Italy this summer. Now we're changing gears. There are so many places in the United States that we have not seen (i.e. The Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore) that now we're thinking of just taking a long drive to see what we can see.

Day One Hundred Ninety Five: June 25th, 2007. My summer vacation plans are coming more into focus. I've already got my plane ticket and I fly from Duluth to Boston in just a few weeks.
